Radiosurgery center operator American Shared Hospital Services (ASHS) of San Francisco this week released financial results for the first quarter (end-March 31) that showed the company reporting a slight decrease in revenues and an increase in net income.
For the period, American Shared posted sales of $4.1 million, down 2% compared with revenue of $4.2 million in the first quarter of 2009. The company's net income was $8,000, compared with a loss of $94,000 in the corresponding period of 2009.
In other ASHS news, the company announced a new agreement to develop a proton-beam radiation therapy facility at Kettering Medical Center of Dayton, OH.
