The American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) Education and Research Foundation and radiation therapy firm Varian Medical Systems of Palo Alto, CA, have awarded 2010 Varian Radiation Therapy Student Scholarships.
Nineteen students enrolled in an entry-level radiation therapy program were chosen to receive scholarships worth $5,000 each. Since the program's inception in 2002, Varian said it has provided more than $665,000 in scholarships to radiation therapy students.
Eligible students currently must be enrolled in an accredited entry-level radiation therapy program, with a minimum grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or at least a B average in a radiation therapy core curriculum.
