Swedish oncology firm Elekta of Stockholm has won a contract with an Australian hospital for its Leksell Gamma Knife Perfexion system.
Macquarie University Hospital physicians have performed Gamma Knife surgery with the system. The hospital and the Australian School of Advanced Medicine worked with Genesis Care, a provider of cancer management services, to procure the system, according to Elekta.
