American Shared inks Brazil deal

Radiosurgery center operator American Shared Hospital Services has signed a 10-year contract to supply radiation therapy services at Hospital Santa Paula in São Paulo.

The San Francisco-based firm said it will place a linear accelerator with intensity-modulated radiation therapy capabilities. Patient treatments are expected to begin in early 2012 in conjunction with the expected completion of a new cancer center being built by the hospital.
