Swedish oncology firm Elekta of Stockholm has launched its new Atlas-based Autosegmentation (ABAS) 2.0 software, which features the simultaneous truth and performance level estimation (STAPLE) algorithm to enhance contouring accuracy.
ABAS is designed to deform atlases of anatomy previously defined on a reference image onto a new patient image to create a new structure fit to a patient's anatomy, enhance treatment planning, and allow for multiple atlases to be calculated for the patient.
