Radiation therapy firm Varian Medical Systems of Palo Alto, CA, plans to launch its TrueBeam medical linear accelerator in Asia.
Varian will highlight TrueBeam for image-guided radiation therapy and radiosurgery at the Asia-Oceania Congress on Medical Physics (AOCMP) in Taipei, Taiwan.
TrueBeam includes features that synchronize imaging, patient positioning, motion management, and treatment delivery, according to Varian; in its high-intensity mode, the device delivers doses at up to 2,400 monitor units per minute, Varian said.
