Radiation therapy firm Varian Medical Systems of Palo Alto, CA, reported gains in both revenue and net income for fiscal 2010.
For the year, the company reported revenue of $2.4 billion, up 6% compared to $2.2 billion the previous year. The company posted net income for the year of $360.4 million, up 11% compared to $319 million in 2009, the company said.
For the fourth quarter of 2010, Varian recorded revenue of $652 million, up 2% compared to revenue of $642 million in the corresponding quarter of 2009. The company's net income for the most recent quarter was $106 million, compared with net income of $97 million in the same period of fiscal 2009.
