Accuray advances toward TomoTherapy buy

Radiation therapy firm Accuray has passed another hurdle in its proposed $277 million acquisition of TomoTherapy.

The mandatory premerger waiting period under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act of 1976 has expired, allowing the transaction to proceed.

The deal could close in June or July and remains subject to approval by TomoTherapy's shareholders and other closing conditions.
