Radiation oncology firm Elekta unveiled a brachytherapy connectivity upgrade for its Mosaiq oncology information system at this week's American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) meeting in Boston.
Version 2.50 of Mosaiq includes connectivity with Nucletron's microSelection digital afterloader, which allows the patient's treatment record and chart information to become part of the patient record, Elekta said.
The new capabilities save time, improve workflow, and create a paperless stream of brachytherapy practice information, according to the company.
In related news, St. Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City became the first facility to install a Mosaiq interface for its Accuray CyberKnife radiosurgery system, Elekta said.
