Radiosurgery technology provider American Shared Hospital Services has secured financing for a proton therapy center under construction at the University of Florida Health Cancer Center in Orlando, FL.
The center will use proton therapy developer Mevion Medical Systems's Mevion S250 system. American Shared expects patients to begin being treated at the center in April. The company did not name the financing source.
