Image-guided therapy firm Brainlab has entered into a licensing agreement with Dalhousie University in Nova Scotia for cranial radiosurgery software the school is developing.
The license covers technology for patient-tailored arc trajectories that minimize radiation dose to organs at risk without compromising coverage of the target, according to the firm. Brainlab plans to incorporate the algorithm into its next generation of cranial radiosurgery software, which it intends to release later this year.
