Radiation therapy firm Varian Medical Systems posted flat total revenues in the second quarter and first six months of fiscal 2016 (end-April 1).
Total revenues remained the same compared to 2015, at $759 million in the second quarter. The company's net earnings decreased 8% to $97 million, compared with $106 million in the same quarter of 2015.
Revenues from the company's Imaging Components business were $144 million for the second quarter, down 8% from $156 million in 2015. The company's Oncology Systems revenues were $584 million, down slightly from $589 million in the same period last year.
For the first six months of fiscal 2016, revenues also remained the same as in 2015, at $1.5 billion. Varian's six-month net earnings decreased by 6.5%, from $199 million last year to $186 million this year.
