Philips, Mirada sign distribution deal

Philips Healthcare and imaging software developer Mirada Medical have signed an agreement for Philips to distribute Mirada's RTx and Workflow Box software in the U.S. and the U.K.

Mirada's RTx software supports radiation therapy treatment planning, bringing advanced functionality, speed, and accuracy to the process, along with the ability to integrate with existing systems. Mirada's Workflow Box, a black-box server, performs a range of time-saving tasks, including automated atlas-based contouring and recontouring for adaptive therapy, the companies said in a statement.

The two products complement Philips' Pinnacle3 treatment-planning software, designed to improve workflow and operational efficiency in oncology, the companies said. The combination of the two packages offers clinicians the ability to efficiently use advanced imaging data to better target treatments.
