Radiosurgery and radiation therapy services technology provider American Shared Hospital Services (AMS) has received a new contract from Methodist Hospitals - Southlake Campus in Merrillville, IN.
AMS said it will supply the institution with a Gamma Knife Perfexion system from Elekta via a risk-sharing arrangement. Patient treatments are expected to begin in late 2018, according to the firm.
Once operational, the Gamma Knife Perfexion system will be the 15th placed into service by AMS, the company said.
