Radiotherapy positioning technology developer Qfix is showcasing a new line of thermoplastic masks at this week's American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) annual meeting in San Antonio.
Designed for use with the company's Portrait S-frames in fractionated intracranial head and neck cancer treatments, Integrated Shim masks are adjustable to account for changes in patient anatomy from various medications and treatment side effects, according to Qfix. Each pin can be tightened or loosened in half-millimeter increments.
The masks are available in head-only and head-and-shoulder styles, Qfix said.
