Radiation therapy software developer RaySearch has released an upgraded version of its RayStation radiation therapy treatment planning system.
RayStation 9A now includes a dual-layer multileaf collimator and nonrotating jaws, which are properties of the Varian Halcyon system, allowing it to be integrated more easily into treatment planning, the company said. It also now includes support for multicriteria optimization for volumetric-modulated arc therapy for Varian systems, enabling the same capability for them as Elekta systems have had since the release of RayStation 8B.
Finally, the upgraded version includes improved machine modeling for photons, RaySearch said.
