Dosimetry firm PTW has introduced Ruby, a modular, multipurpose phantom designed to provide quality assurance (QA) evaluation of the entire radiotherapy treatment chain.
Ruby enables users to perform end-to-end tests of the stereotactic treatment process with one insert, according to the vendor. It features a compact base phantom and inserts that are easy to exchange, the company said.
In addition, Ruby includes a variety of application-specific inserts to meet testing requirements for high-precision radiotherapy and stereotactic radiosurgery/stereotactic body radiation therapy, PTW said.
