Siemens Medical Systems continues to add executives to its Issaquah, WA-based ultrasound division. In addition to appointing Siemens MR veteran John Pavlidis as president, Siemens has tapped David Quist as vice president of marketing and sales support and John Benson as vice president of product creation.
Quist is a 25-year medical imaging veteran who comes to Siemens from imaging accessories provider Civco Medical Instruments, where he served as vice president of global sales and marketing. He will have responsibility for all marketing activities with the vendor's external partners, sales representatives and customers.
Benson, who has been with Siemens Ultrasound for the last nine years, will head up a new group that oversees product definition and applications development. Most recently, Benson managed relationships with major business partners, as well as research and evaluation of new business opportunities and alliances. In addition to his new duties, Benson will continue to lead business development for Siemens Ultrasound.
