SonoSite signs deal with ATL Ultrasound

Handheld ultrasound firm SonoSite has signed a distribution agreement with former parent ATL Ultrasound, giving the Bothell, WA-based vendor distribution rights to SonoSite’s SonoHeart echocardiography system in cardiology-related segments in U.S. and international markets.

ATL will bundle SonoHeart with sales of its High Definition Imaging ultrasound systems and cardiac catheterization systems from ATL’s parent, Philips Medical Systems. ATL spun off SonoSite -- also based in Bothell, WA -- in April 1998.
