EndoSonics moves into the red despite revenue increase

Intravascular ultrasound developer EndoSonics reported first quarter revenues of $12.9 million, up 6% compared with the $12 million posted in the same period last year. For the quarter (end-March 31), EndoSonics had a net loss of $460,000 prior to a non-recurring charge of $216,000 related to previously announced headcount reductions. The Rancho Cordova, CA-based firm had net income of $1.3 million in the same period in 1999.
