Acuson results slip in Q1

As previously announced, ultrasound vendor Acuson reported declines in both revenues and net income in its first quarter. For the period (end-April 1), the Mountain View, CA-based firm had revenues of $111.6 million, down 9% compared with the $119 million reported in the first quarter in 1999. Acuson had net income of $2 million, compared with $5.5 million posted in the same period last year.
