EchoCath has received Food and Drug Administration clearance to market its EchoFlow portable blood velocity measurement system. The battery-powered EchoFlow PEF-1 is an angle-independent velocity measurement system that allows physicians to evaluate and quantify blood flow in vessels using ultrasound, according to the Princeton, NJ-based firm. EchoCath is targeting the unit for use in intensive care units, dialysis facilities, and clinics.
