Toshiba picks ultrasound VP

Multimodality vendor Toshiba America Medical Systems of Tustin, CA, has hired Tim Chaney as vice president of ultrasound, a newly created position. Chaney will manage the company’s field organization and its alternate distribution sales channels, and will have responsibility for the division’s profit and loss operation.

Chaney comes to Toshiba from Lumedx, an Oakland, CA, developer of cardiovascular information systems. Prior to that, he worked at Acuson of Mountain View, CA, from 1987 to 2000.
