Hitachi, Rosses team up

Hitachi Medical Corporation of America and image-guided treatment planning and delivery software developer Rosses Medical Systems have formed a joint effort to develop and promote ultrasound-guided prostate cancer treatment offerings.

Tarrytown, NY-based Hitachi's EUB 2000 ultrasound system and EUP-U533 brachytherapy probe will be offered along with RMS' real-time operating room dosimetry module. The module allows clinicians to monitor the implant dosimetry in progress and implement any dosing changes while the patient is on the table, according to RMS of Columbia, MD.
