Breast ultrasound technology developer TechniScan has added several new executives. Barry Hanover has been named COO, while ultrasound veteran William Varley becomes vice president of marketing and sales. Matthew Warnock has been appointed vice president of intellectual property.
In other company news, the Salt Lake City-based firm has completed a prototype of its SafeScan system. SafeScan generates images by using ultrasound inverse scattering and reflection tomography. SafeScan began phase I clinical trials this month, according to TechniScan.
