Siemens Medical Solutions is debuting Sonoline G60 S, a new multispecialty ultrasound system, at this week's International Congress of Radiology in Cancun, Mexico. The system is also being shown at the EuroSon 2002 Congress in Warsaw, Poland.
The new system includes Siemens technology such as MultiBeam Formation, Precision MotionCapture, and SynAps (synthetic aperture), according to the Iselin, NJ-based vendor. Siemens said that Sonoline G60 S can accommodate a full range of imaging applications, including radiology and cardiology imaging.
The scanner can handle deep abdominal imaging, specialty applications, and high-frequency imaging, Siemens said. For cardiology, Sonoline G60 S includes an integrated stress-echo package and multiplane transesophageal echo capability.
The system's core architecture is based on the vendor's DIMAQ-IP integrated workstation, which provides on-board image and data management. It also includes programmable imaging parameters, exam steps, measurement and report packages, and embedded DICOM compatibility, Siemens said.
Siemens has also migrated its SieScape panoramic imaging, tissue-harmonic imaging, and integrated stress-echo packages to Sonoline G60 S. The vendor said it will begin shipping the system this month.
