SonoSite hires Surace-Smith

Handheld-ultrasound developer SonoSite has appointed Kathy Surace-Smith as vice president and general counsel. Surace-Smith, who comes to SonoSite from a post as vice president and general counsel at Metawave Communications, will be responsible for all corporate legal affairs and management of outside counsel, according to the Bothell, WA-based vendor.
