Analogic buys Siemens’ transducer unit

Peabody, MA-based imaging equipment vendor Analogic has purchased the Sound Technology transducer unit of Siemens Medical Solutions of Iselin, NJ.

Analogic is an OEM supplier of ultrasound systems, while Sound Technology produces linear- and curved-array ultrasound transducers and probes. Sound Technology will continue supplying transducers to Siemens. Terms of the acquisition agreement were not disclosed.
