Toshiba America Medical Systems of Tustin, CA, will feature two ultrasound platforms at this year's RSNA meeting, including the Aplio general imaging scanner and the compact, lightweight Nemio system.
Recent new enhancements for Aplio include version 5.5 software, which includes streamlined clinical workflow and image acquisition optimization. The release features a differential tissue harmonic imaging (THI) option that offers increased spatial resolution and penetration for improved border tissue definition with enhanced transducers, according to the company.
A quick-scan option optimizes images for increased productivity and reproducible exams with less interoperator variability. Other features include support for seven DICOM services classes, ApliPure spatial and frequency compound imaging, pulse subtraction harmonics, multifrequency transducer technology, dynamic microslice transducer technology, and fast fusion 3D.
Nemio is a midrange scanner designed for mobility and portability. Key features include a fully digital beamformer, lightweight design, multifrequency transducer technology, multifrequency tissue harmonic imaging, quad signal processing for high-frame-rate imaging, directional color angio, panoramic view, surface rendering and fusion 3D, and support for all seven DICOM classes.
