VIENNA - Ultrasound technology developer Zonare Medical Systems unveiled a new transducer for its ultrasound systems this week at the European Congress of Radiology (ECR).
The new L8-3 transducer is designed to address peripheral vascular imaging needs, but can also be used for pediatric hips and technically difficult small parts, according to the Mountain View, CA-based firm.
The device has a bandwidth of 8-3 MHz, and offers users nine frequencies including 2D, M-Mode, tissue harmonics, color Doppler, and PW Doppler, Zonare said.
