Sonora Medical Systems reported that it has received its third U.S. Patent (No. 7,007,539) for its FirstCall probe testing device.
The series of patents awarded to Sonora for the FirstCall device relates to its capability to test ultrasound probes one element at a time without needing to use the ultrasound system, according to the Longmont, CO-based firm.
The device enables clinical engineers, service technicians, and manufacturing personnel to objectively evaluate the health of ultrasound transducers, Sonora said.
