Compact-ultrasound developer SonoSite said that its MicroMaxx hand-carried ultrasound system will be in service at the Canada 2006 Grand Prix Formula 1 automobile race in Montreal this weekend.
The device will be part of the medical equipment available to the trauma team at the onsite medical center at the event, which will be staffed by physicians and other medical professionals from the Hôpital du Sacré-Coeur de Montreal, according to the Bothell, WA-based SonoSite.
