Siemens Medical Solutions of Malvern, PA, introduced the 5.0 release of its Acuson Antares ultrasound scanner at the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) annual meeting, which started May 5 in San Diego.
The 5.0 release is designed for five clinical application areas, including breast and ob/gyn imaging. Siemens' eSie Touch elasticity imaging technology features an adaptation for fatty breast imaging and bundles with the company's Advanced SieClear spatial compounding to provide 13 lines of sight applied at greater steering angles, as well as Dynamic TCE tissue contrast enhancement technology for speckle reduction and motion correction.
Siemens is also showcasing the compact and portable Acuson X150 ultrasound system for ob/gyn settings.
