SonoSite names Smith to VP post

Compact-ultrasound developer SonoSite of Bothell, WA, has appointed Marcus Y. Smith as vice president of corporate development.

Since 2004, Smith has served as senior director of strategy and business development at Andover, MA-based Philips Medical Systems.

From 2000 to 2003, Smith led JPMorgan's European logistics investment banking practice as vice president of investment banking.
