Toshiba introduces Artida US scanner at ESC show

Toshiba Medical Systems Europe released its Artida ultrasound system for the cardiac 4D market at the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) congress in Vienna.

Artida features real-time multiplanar reformatting capabilities to quantify global and regional LV function, including LV ejection fraction, volume, and severity of regurgitation.

Artida also is designed to track and display myocardial motion in 3D images. The wall motion tracking feature allows users to obtain angle-independent, quantitative, and regional information about myocardial contraction to enhance cardiac resynchronization therapy.
