Sonora gets patent

Ultrasound device developer Misonix said that its Sonora Medical Systems subsidiary has received a patent from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for its FirstAssist ultrasound testing device.

The patent, No. 7,278,290, is the first for FirstAssist. The device is is designed to test the accuracy of ultrasound imaging systems, according to Misonix of Farmingdale, NY.
