(Booth 7130) Look for Tustin, CA-based Toshiba America Medical Systems to launch 4D volume imaging applications at the 2007 RSNA show, along with a microconvex transducer and an upgrade to its Xario XG scanner.
Toshiba will showcase a full line of 4D transducers, including a microconvex transducer that provides better images of the abdomen and is useful for guiding radiofrequency ablations, the company said. Other 4D transducers include endocavity and linear probes.
The Xario XG upgrade features a 19-inch monitor and comes standard with bundled software that includes an advanced dynamic flow feature to display blood-flow direction even in tiny blood vessels. Also included in the upgrade is Toshiba's ApliPure technology, which uses spatial and frequency compounding to deliver clearer images, and QuickScan, a one-touch auto-optimization for 2D and Doppler imaging.
