Esaote signs big Chinese contract

Italian medical device firm Esaote of Genoa has won a contract to supply ultrasound scanners to a charity in the People's Republic of China, the company reported.

Esaote will provide 1,000 ultrasound scanners to the Medical Relief Sunshine Residence Project of the Department of the China Charity Federation, a nongovernmental organization. The scanners will be installed in 592 remote counties of China, and will be used for applications such as pediatric, vascular, and cardiology imaging.
