Imaging equipment supplier Sonora Medical Systems has released FC-t, a version of its FirstCall ultrasound probe testing device designed for testing transesophageal echo (TEE) probes.
FC-t is designed to detect fluid infiltration into the insertion tubes caused by bite marks or small tears in the coating material of the probe, according to the Longmont, CO-based firm. It's priced at less than $10,000, Sonora said.
