Ultrasonix receives CE Mark for SonixTouch

Ultrasound vendor Ultrasonix Medical of Richmond, British Columbia, has received the CE Mark for its SonixTouch ultrasound system, the company reported.

SonixTouch is a portable diagnostic ultrasound system built on Ultrasonix's OpenSonix platform. It features a touchscreen-driven, reconfigurable user interface. SonixTouch received clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in November 2008.
