Compact-ultrasound developer SonoSite reported gains in revenue and profit for both the fourth quarter and full fiscal 2008 (end-December 31).
For the fourth quarter, the Bothell, WA-based company posted revenue of $70.2 million, up 8% compared with $64.8 million in the same period of the previous year. Net income for the quarter was $12.1 million, a 184% increase compared with $4.3 million in the fourth quarter of 2007.
For the full year, SonoSite had sales of $243.5 million, up 19% compared with sales of $205.1 million in the same period of 2007. The company's net income for the year was $20.6 million, compared with a net income of $6.9 million in 2007.
SonoSite said the drivers of its performance were its M-Turbo and S Series products.
