Ultrasound technology developer Misonix has signed a three-year, exclusive agreement with Lavi Industrial & Medical Agencies of Kfar Saba, Israel. Lavi will distribute the Farmingdale, NY-based vendor's SonaStar ultrasonic surgical aspirator and BoneScalpel ultrasonic bone cutter in Israel.
SonaStar is used by neuro and general surgeons to remove both hard and soft tumors and spare most vessels, according to Misonix. BoneScalpel is a tissue-specific osteotomy device designed to make precise cuts through bone and hard tissue, while largely preserving delicate soft-tissue structures, Misonix said.
