SonoSite hires new executive

Compact-ultrasound developer SonoSite of Bothell, WA, has hired John Bowers as senior vice president of strategic development and patient safety innovations.

Bowers comes to the company from medical device firm Northstar Neuroscience of Shoreline, WA, where he served as president and CEO. Prior to that, he spent 14 years at Guidant and Eli Lilly in management positions of increasing responsibility.
