Imaging software firm Pie Medical Imaging of Maastricht, Netherlands, has released a new version of its quantitative analysis software for coronary and peripheral vessels.
Release 5.8 of CAAS adds a quantitative vascular analysis (QVA) 3D tool for analyzing peripheral vessels, especially their shape, and enhanced quantitative analysis results of the aorta and peripheral vessels. Foreshortening and out-of-plane magnification are eliminated by QVA 3D.
Features of CAAS QVA 3D include real-time intuitive and interactive 3D reconstruction of the vessel without the need for any manual calibration.
