GE Healthcare said that its new pocket-sized ultrasound scanner will be used at the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games.
It will be used in support of athletes, trainers, and visitors at the Mobile Medical Unit, the medical emergency unit extension of the Whistler Polyclinic, according to the Chalfont St. Giles, U.K.-based vendor. The size of a cell phone, Vscan weighs less than 1 lb and measures 3 x 5.3 inches.
