Ultrasound vendor Ultrasonix Medical of Richmond, British Columbia, has released an add-on to its SonixTouch Research system.
SonixDAQ allows ultrasound researchers to obtain raw prebeamformed parallel-channel radiofrequency data in a laboratory or clinical environment, the company said.
SonixDAQ has 16 GB of memory for channel storage, 80-MHz sampling rates, and 128 simultaneous channel collection. It interfaces with SonixTouch Research through a USB 2.0 connection, and enables users to write and embed their own high-speed signal processing algorithms, according to the firm.
