Siemens Healthcare has released an upgraded version of its Acuson SC2000 volume imaging ultrasound system this week at the annual American Society of Echocardiography (ASE) scientific sessions in San Diego.
Version 1.5 features workflow improvements in conventional and real-time volumetric echocardiography, according to the Malvern, PA-based vendor. Siemens' eSie Measure Workflow Acceleration package is designed to provide fully automated measurements for routine echo exams.
The Acuson SC2000 system also now features a new 5-MHz transesophageal probe, which is interchangeable with other Siemens ultrasound platforms. The device also offers the firm's Rapid Stress volume stress echo application with full-volume acquisition in one single heartbeat per stage and autoextraction of reference planes for comparison, Siemens said.
