Breast ultrasound imaging developer TechniScan has appointed imaging industry veteran Joe Pepper, PhD, as chairman of its board of directors.
Pepper has more than 28 years of experience in the medical device field, including stints as CEO of ultrasound firm U-Systems of Sunnyvale, CA, and CEO of fluoroscopic imaging developer OEC Medical Systems prior to its sale to GE Healthcare of Chalfont St. Giles, U.K.
He will replace Ken Hungerford, who has been TechniScan chairman since the Salt Lake City-based firm went public in the fall of 2009. Hungerford will continue to serve on the board's executive committee along with Pepper and CEO David Robinson.
