Siemens Healthcare introduced the version 1.6 release of its Acuson SC2000 ultrasound scanner at the American College of Cardiology (ACC) annual meeting in New Orleans this week.
The upgrade is designed to simplify echocardiography workflow and reduce exam times in both 2D routine exams and volumetric imaging and analysis.
In addition, Siemens demonstrated the migration to SC20000 of its IN Focus technology for echocardiography, originally developed for the Acuson Sequoia scanner as coherent image formation. IN Focus technology enables the user to focus on the entire field-of-view instead of a single focal zone for enhanced information in one image.
