Fukuda Denshi launches color US system

Japanese medical instrument firm Fukuda Denshi has brought its UF-760AG color portable ultrasound scanner to the U.S.

UF-760AG is suitable for a wide variety of applications, including cardiac (adult and pediatric), peripheral vascular, abdominal, pediatric, small organ, neonatal/adult cephalic, transcranial, breast, musculoskeletal, and obstetrics and gynecology exams, according to the vendor.

Features include 3D/4D, continuous-wave Doppler, pulsed-wave Doppler, color Doppler, stress echo, spatial compounding, speckle reduction, tissue harmonic imaging, and tissue-specific imaging, Fukuda Denshi said. UF-760AG also includes two probe connectors and a 15-inch thin-film transistor (TFT) LCD.

The lightweight system has an on-board imaging archive that can store more than 150,000 still images, according to the company. It has a battery life of approximately one hour.
